Crack Halak: Pens/Habs Preview
Just three weeks ago this was seen as an improbable match-up. There was no way the Canadiens were going to upset Washington in the first round. Now, just three weeks later here we are. The Pens are the top seed remaining in the Eastern Conference are will be hosting the team who did the improbable. This will be the first playoff meeting between the two teams since 1998.

Phuck Filly
Earlier this evening the Philadelphia Flyers fired their head coach John Stevens. The Flyers have struggled of late and their stars have been caught in the center of it all.
Their goaltending has been their weakest point. Ray Emery has been garbage over the past month.
The Flyers hired former Hurricanes coach Peter Laviolette as their new coach.
There are also rumors that Flyers...

Sidsational
Anyone who watched the Pens game last night could clearly see that Sidney Crosby is hurting the Pittsburgh Penguins. All those goals he scores really are just detrimental to the team. Jokes.
The Pens regained their winning form last night by destroying the New York Rangers 8-3 on what was Hat Night at the Mellon Arena. Sidney Crosby made those hats rain down when he scored his fourth career hat...
Invasion of Long Island
Today the Pens will play the first game of back to back games when they face the New York Islanders in an afternoon game on Long Island. The Pens are coming off a 3-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night. The last time these two teams met in the second game of the season, the Pens won 4-3 in what was a come from behind shootout victory.
The Islanders have been somewhat of a...

A Little Thanksgiving Present
Less than 3 days ago I had no idea if I was ever going to see another game in the Mellon Arena, but on Monday I received a text saying that there were 225 tickets available for last night’s game against Montreal. So there I was two days later sitting in Section E5 at the game. What a night!
The Pens stretched their winning streak to 3 games with their 3-1 win last night against the...

Bing City!
The Pens closed out a three game road trip with yet another third period come from behind, overtime win against the Florida Panthers by a score of 3-2. This is the second time this year the Panthers have let a third period lead slip away to the Pens. This is also the second time that Sidney Crosby was the hero scoring the game winning goal.
Thomas Vokoun once again made 40 plus saves for the...

Only in Florida
While watching tonight’s highlights from the Panthers broadcast I noticed something. I noticed their “Play of the Game” is sponsored by a vodka company.
I don’t know whether this is badass or bad advertising. Do only adults watch hockey in Florida.
Personally I wish FSN had enough balls to have their segments sponsored by a vodka company.
What do you think about the sponsorship. Badass or Bad...

Florida Beaches
Tonight the Pens will conclude a three game road trip when they take on the Florida Panthers in Florida. The Pens are coming off a 3-2 victory on Saturday night against the Atlanta Thrashers.
This will be the second meeting between the Pens and Panthers this year. During the first meeting at the Mellon Arena in October the Pens came back from a 2-0 third period deficit to win the game 3-2 in a...

Skoula Keys Win!
Last night the Penguins defeated the Atlanta Thrashers 3-2 to snap a four game road losing streak. Martin Skoula chipped in two goals on the night and Evgeni Malkin added a third to help secure the win. This was Skoula’s first two game as a member of the Penguins. Martin Skoula has done a perfect job filling in for injured defensemen while logging a lot of minutes and scoring three goals.
